Hello, my dear friends! How was your Christmas holiday? For the first time in many years, we spent Christmas at home. The main difference is, instead of lounging in my newest open-back shirt, I am lounging in v-neck cashmere and oversized bomber jacket. In a way, funky, festive and relaxed are the vibes of what I wore the past five days, but now Christmas is over, I am ready to gear up for the New Year!
Xmas we stay with family, New Year’s Eve we out to party! What come in mind when someone says New Year’s Eve? Glitter, lot of glitter. But one doesn’t have to wear glitter to shine, or a deep V to be sexy, this year, let’s reel the New Year in with a super fun and ultra feminine silhouette.
What you will need are: 1) top with big sleeves, bigger the better (see many quality option here); 2) body-hugging skirt or dress; and 3) a statement belt. Layer the three together, we get this very flattering, hour-glass silhouette that compliments most body shapes.
In addition to the basic shapes, I also employed trendy elements such as stripes and velvet. You can add your own “flavor” such as metallic (shoes, belt), fringe (skirt), patent, off-shoulder, etc. An oversized pinstripe shirt borrowed from the boys can work just as well, especially if you unbutton a couple more buttons and let one shoulder slide off to reveal a bit skin, pairing with beautiful bling such as these earrings.
Thank you so much for reading! I hope I’ve persuaded you to try this outfit for your next glam occasion. See you in my next post!
